JC Automotive provides a remote estimating service using various estimating systems.

Each customer/Repairer provides JC Automotive with customer details and to remain compliant with GDPR legislation of May 2018, JC Automotive ensures the following:

• JC Automotive is registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO)
• Each Customer/Repairer remains the data controller of the data passed to JC Automotive, who is the data processor
• Each Customer/Repairer ensures that all data passed to JC Automotive has been collected in compliance with GDPR
• The data will be used purely to produce an estimate and will be limited to customer name, address, telephone number, vehicle details, vehicle parts and prices.
• All data collected via the website of JC Automotive and/or any other internet- based platform will be used for the purposes of generating an estimate and then destroyed
• The data may be networked to insurance companies subject to instruction from each Customer/Repairer
• JC Automotive will take all necessary measures to keep all data strictly confidential
• JC Automotive will not duplicate or reproduce any part of the information passed to them by the Customer/Repairer
• JC Automotive will not pass the data onto any other third party unless instructed to by the Customer/Repairer and then only to those for the purpose of gaining authority to repair the vehicle
• JC Automotive will not access the details once the estimate has been produced unless updates/changes are requested by the Customer/Repairer
• All data is stored on our estimating systems and not by JC Automotive

In respect of each Customer/Repairer:

• JC Automotive is the data controller
• Customer/Repairer details such as name, address, telephone and email addresses of the business are stored by JC Automotive to enable contact but would be destroyed on request should the Customer/Repairer cease to do business with JC Automotive
• JC Automotive will not pass on Customer/Repairer information to any third party without gaining explicit consent from the Customer/Repairer concerned
• JC Automotive uses antivirus software and makes every effort to reduce the possibility of cyber-attack
